Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated February 01, 2022 there were 6 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. No further action is required by the Licensee or the Licensing Officer. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. This inspection and the risk assessment were written off site and a copy was emailed to the facility The following education/recommendations were provided: - Continuing to follow Covid-19 protocols - Licensee have a system in place for checking emergency food supply - Safe medication storage - Licensee has a system in place for ensuring children's registration is up to date - May use "am" and "pm" when signing children in and out on the attendance and can also record certain information in the log book - Licensee pro-actively addressed renewing Criminal Record Checks for everyone over the age of 12 years old.
