Introduction

A scheduled follow up inspection was conducted to assess contraventions noted on routine inspection #WBET-BLCMLZ dated January 31, 2020.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19180 - CCLR s.57(2)(k) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (k) the date on which the child stops attending the community care facility.
Observation: During a review of the children's files it was noted that the last day of care had not been recorded to two children.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that the last day of care is recorded for all children when they leave the facility.
Date to be Corrected: Today and ongoing.


Comments

During this inspection there were four children and one staff present. A copy of this inspection was sent by email to the licensee on August 10, 2020.

The following were discussed with the licensee:
All care plans are to be dated and reviewed within a 12 month period and that the plan contain enough detail to guide staff actions. It is recommended that the care plan is signed by all those involved in writing it (caregiver, parent, speech pathologist etc).
Covid 19 policies need to include what would happen if a child/staff or family member becomes ill. The Licensee will revise the facility policy to include this information.

The Licensee was provided a copy of the Resource Package for Child Care. Covid 19 Prevention.
