The following areas were reviewed:

Comments

The children in care were observed engaged in free play, hand washing and lunch time during the inspection. The facility has ample resources and equipment both indoor and outdoor.

Upon review of the newly composed Active Play and Screen Use Policy licensing encouraged the Licensee to include time to both of these policies. Children under the age of two are also not permitted to engage in screen use and this was noted to be included in the screen use policy.

LO had some discussion surrounding the use of hats and sun screen for the children in care as there did not appear to have any at the facility.
Reportable incidents and the importance of care and supervision was also reviewed with the Licensee.

The Licensee relayed that she does not administer medication of any type to the children in care. This was reviewed in the facilities policy's but not noted. It was discussed to possibly add this information to the illness policy for the families clarity.

Resources shared today include; Active Play and Screen use resources for policy clarity, Immunization Poster and the LO's business card.
