Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation: Files for 4 children were reviewed. Emergency contacts were not available for 2 children.
Corrective Action(s): Please make sure all files have emergency contact information

Comments

Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated January 8, 2019 there were 4 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified/no contraventions were identified. The licensee will send an email to CCFL when the contravention on this inpseciotn has been addressed.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting active play in the program.
· Active Supervision
· Lead in water
