Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care Assisted Living Act (CCALA) and the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation: A review of a sample of 6 children's files found that one file was missing the medical insurance plan number.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all children's files are complete

Comments

During this inspection, there were 80 children and 17 staff present. At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified. Actions required by the licensee included here. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The Licensing Officer met with the manager and a staff member and discussed the following:
Review photos of children and replace any that may be out of date

This report was written off site; therefore, no signatures were captured at this time. Time reflects onsite visit. A copy of this document will be provided to the facility via email.
