306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] Observation: The floor under all the shelving racks, in the front retail room, has accumulated dust, food packages, food crumbs, and a dead rodent. These conditions will attract and harbor pests. Corrective Action(s): Immediately clean the floors under all shelving racks in the retail room and ensure this is done on a daily. It is highly recommended to remove the carpet as it is easier to clean a hard, sealed surfaces on a daily basis versus a carpeted/cloth material. **Correction date: Today** Violation Score: 3

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made: - Cooler in retail area was 1C; chocolate walk-in-cooler was 8C; cheese walk-in-cooler was 1C; freezer was -19C; and thermometers present. - All foods stored 6" off the floor on pallets, shelves or racks. - General sanitation level is good. - No signs of recent pest activity. Abell Pest Company monitors for pests every week. - FIFO rules being followed. - All surfaces are in good working order.
