Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): It was observed with one program that 8 sign out times were missing within a one week span and in another program one sign out time was missing within a one week span. Manager stated that she will follow up with staff regarding this system.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all children have departure times recorded each day.

Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated April 5, 2019 there were 29 children and 5 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified.

Take corrective action by bringing facility into compliance
