Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance today.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

On the inspection date of May 25, 2021 there were 5 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. This inspection was written off site and emailed to the Licensee ( same day).
LO had the following discussion with the Licensee:
- Keep all care facility records, including policies and procedures in a single location at the facility; behavioural guidance, repayment agreement, active play and screen time policies must be shared with families
- Fencing work ( beside the shed) is scheduled to be completed on July 3, 2021; In the meantime, the Licensee will continue to use a barrier to limit children accessing the gap
- Licensee is aware of fire extinguisher's upcoming service date
- Outdoor play space- to keep a log of all inspections, maintenance and repairs
