Comments

Routine inspection conducted. The following observations were made:

1. Temperatures
- Undercounter prep coolers at 4C
- No freezer units or hot-holder units present

2. Hygiene and Sanitizing
- Handwash station equipped with side splash guards and adequately stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- Sanitizing pails for non-dairy and dairy steam wands contain 200 ppm quaternary ammonium compound (quats). Steam wands are sanitized after each use
- 3-compartment sink contains 200 ppm quats in sanitizing compartment, timer set for 2 hours before sanitizing compartment is changed - excellent
- Spoons are rinsed after each use in well, and sanitized every 4 hours
- Burr grinder is cleaned at the end of the day, portafilter is disassembled and sanitized according to manufacturer's directions every 4 hours

3. Storage
- Single-serve cups are securely stored
- Customer self-serve area is organized

4. Pest Control
- No visible signs of recent pest activity at time of inspection

5. Administrative
- Employee is FoodWise certified (equivalent to FoodSafe 1) - due to expire in 2019
- Permit posted. Please call Health Protection Billing at 604-918-7677 to renew permit for this years' fiscal (Apr 2018-Mar 2019)
- Temperature logs maintained and up-to-date
