305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: Inside the solid food prep room (where cockroach sightings were highest) there were several gaps or areas where the wall panelling met the concrete foundation that there was not an adequate seal that could allow the harborage of pests. Corrective Action(s): Inspect the floor-wall join through this room and ensure that the seal is tight to exclude pests. Due: December 5th, 2022 Violation Score: 9

Corrections Noted: √ Significant remediation, cleaning and treatment has been done to address cockroaches by both pest control company and by staff on site. Updating of SOPs, review and training staff for sanitization and pest control has been done. Continue to work with pest control company, following their recommendations to work towards eradicating all pests. √ No evidence of cockroaches noted on site at time of inspection. **However the egg casings are resistant to pesticides and similar treatments, continued cleaning and likely additional treatments will need to be done as any missed eggs hatch. Continue to closely monitor, diligently clean and arrange for additional treatment as soon as any new activity is noted. *Also recommend inspecting other areas where cockroaches may hide including inside the washing machines and dryers in the adjacent room and any electrical outlets. - Transition to a contracted laundry service currently underway. √ Bay doors that had gaps underneath have been sealed √ Mouse activity at the end of the storage area near the bay door has been cleaned and is being monitored.
