Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Baked buns with hot dogs (supplied by a third party) were stored on the shelving area at ambient temperature. Product label states Keep Refrigerated. Products were delivered today.
Corrective Action(s): Potentially hazardous foods must be stored at or below 4C to prevent the growth of pathogens and or the formation of toxins. Always follow the storage instructions on the label. Buns were moved into a cooler at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Produce in the walk-in cooler was covered with newspaper.
Corrective Action(s): Discontinue the practice of using newspaper to cover foods. Newspaper is not a food grade material and may potentially contaminate foods. Paper towels may be used to cover foods. Newspaper was removed at the time of inspection.

Comments

-Walk-in cooler was at 4C.
-Front coolers were at 4C and 1C.
-Wall freezer was at -18C.
-Bank freezers ranged from -15C to -18C
-Cleaning and sanitizing carried out in 2-compartment sink. Sink plugs present and Quats sanitizer dispenser tested at 200ppm.
-Quats sanitizer spray bottle labelled and tested at 200ppm.
-Produce area handwashing station supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels
-Foods stored off the floor. Recommend storing foods in the delivery area 10-15cm away from the wall to monitor for potential pest issues.
-Random selection of foods were found to be within the best before dates and in good condition.
-Facility serviced by a professional pest control operator. No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and well maintained.
