Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Hopper for the Gourmet Ice machine is currently washed with a soap and water solution.
Corrective Action(s): Hopper must be properly cleaned and disinfected with either a 200ppm Quats sanitizer or 100ppm bleach solution when machine indicates cleaning is required. Store has a food grade Quats sanitizing solution available on-site (8mL of concentrate per liter of water) or can use bleach (1 tsp bleach per liter of water). Quats sanitizing solution prepared at the time of inspection for disinfection of Gourmet Ice machine.

Comments

-Upright cooler was at 4C.
-Upright freezer was at -11C.
-Novelty freezers were at -14C and -20C.
-Random selection of canned items were found to be in good condition and within the best before dates.
-2-compartment sink in the back used for cleaning and sanitizing.
-Self-serve items by cash register protected from potential contamination and individual tongs present.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
