Observation: Operator has misplaced operating permit. Decal received for operation until March 31, 2019, but is not affixed to the permit.
Corrective Action(s): Obtain a replacement permit from the health authority and have it posted in a easily visible location.

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation: Screen door has holes in it and does not securely attach onto door frame.
Corrective Action(s): Repair the mesh in the screen door and adjust the edge of the door so that it fits securely on the door frame. It is vital to safeguard your facility against pests and rodents.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Back storage area contains spilled dog food and clutter.
2. Interior of chocolate machine still contains settled powder and residue - this is a recurring violation from previous inspections.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Dog food and clutter was swept and removed from the storage area at time of inspection. Ensure that this area remains uncluttered at all times to facilitate sweeping and mopping of the area.
2. Settled powder was removed from the machine at time of inspection. Increase your cleaning frequency for the hot chocolate machine. Regularly remove the powder (current frequency is once a month) to prevent accumulation inside. Operator has agreed to clean the interior weekly.

It is your responsiblity to maintain your facility in sanitary condition at all times, including areas around and inside equipment.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted. Facility is maintained in good sanitary condition. The following observations were made:

1. Temperatures
- All coolers, including beverage coolers and walk-in cooler, are at 4C or below
- Display freezers, chest freezers, and stand-up glass-door freezers at -18C or below
- Cooler units equipped with accurate thermometers
- No hot-holding is conducted in the facility

2. Hygiene and Sanitizing
- Handwash stations at back and in employee washroom adequately stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- Operator able to demonstrate how to produce a 200 ppm chlorine residual for the sanitizing pail
- "Electro-Freeze" and beverage slushie dispensers and drains covers generally maintained in sanitary condition

3. Storage
- Food items for sale are elevated at least 6" off floor
- No infant formula or meal supplements on-site, audited items are within best-before date

4. Administrative
- Permit posted and up-to-date
- Operator has FoodSafe 1

5. Pest Activity
- No signs of recent pest activity at time of inspection
