Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cloths were soaking in container of water at time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Keep cloths soaking in sanitizer solution to prevent bacterial growth on the cloths.

Comments

All hand wash stations were fully equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
** Obtain holder/dispenser for paper towel in the food/drink preparation area - this was mentioned in the previous inspection reports
All coolers 4C or less (display cooler unit, prep table cooler unit, pop cooler unit...etc)
Ice cream display cases -9C
Scoops for ice cream stored in dipper well with running water
Hot holding of soup 64C
Sanitizer solution in spray bottle under the sink 100ppm.
Probe thermometer available on site to check internal temperature of foods. Ensure probe is sanitized between uses.
General sanitation satisfactory. No obvious sign of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
Dry storage room well maintained.
Ice machine appeared clean with scoop for ice stored in holder.
High temperature dish washer achieved 71C (with thermolabel).
All stored foods appeared protected (ie. stored off the ground, covered, raw chicken stored below and away from ready to eat foods, lights in food prep areas had covers..etc)
** Premise was approved with a stove on site but does not have a hood ventilation system. Ensure premises is in compliance with the City of Burnaby Building Department/Fire Department requirements (ie. no generation of grease laden vapours).
** Noted a few cracked tiles in the food preparation area. Floor appears clean, however ensure cracked/broken tiles are repaired/replaced as part of ongoing maintenance to facilitate cleaning.
