Observation: 1. Some foods are noted storing on the ground in walk-in cooler. Also noted food products storing on ground at bar.
2. Food containers in cooler are noted uncovered.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure foods are all stored at least 6 inches above ground. All foods should be covered to protect from contamination.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Rodent droppings are noted throughout the facility, in kitchen and in dining area. Droppings are noted on floor along most walls, with heavy concentration behind staff lockers, area underneath fish tank and area around mop sink. Droppings are also noted in dining area on corners, at front by curtains, waiting benches, and storage underneath dining benches. One dead baby mouse is noted on glueboard under fish tank.
Lower Mainland Pest Control Company comes once a month for visit. Last visit was on September 16, 2021. A copy of the report was available upon request; however, it was difficult to read handwriting on report.
Corrective Action(s): Remove all droppings, sanitize areas, and work with pest control company. Follow any recommendations pest control company may have on facility. In general, cleaning is key.

Observation: Thorough cleaning is required for entire kitchen. Food debris noted under shelvings in walk-in cooler, under shevling in kitchen prep table and coolers.
Corrective Action(s): Clean all areas in kitchen. In particular, pay extra attention in the following:
-->floor along all walls
-->floor under prep coolers
-->floor under prep tables
-->area under cooking line
-->floor behind cooking equipment
-->fan covers and ceiling covers
-->all equipment handles
-->all shelving racks

In order to re-open:
1. Pest control must visit prior to re-opening and report should be provided at inspection.
2. All droppings must be removed.
3. All areas with droppings must be sanitized.
4. Any holes noted must be sealed.
5. Open areas (ie. compressor for fish tank, area around mop sink, etc) should be covered in a way that cleaning can be done easily and properly.
