Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Raw meat was stored above ready-to-eat foods and bloody water was contaminating the food items.
Corrective Action(s): Raw meats must be stored below ready-to-eat foods to prevent contamination of foods. The following food items were discarded at the time of inspection: 4 bag of green peppers, 3 daikon, 1 bag of bean sprouts, and 1 bag of onions.

301 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizer spray bottle had no detectable chlorine concentration.
Corrective Action(s): Sanitizer spray bottle must be at 100ppm to 200ppm chlorine to allow for proper sanitizing of food contact surfaces. Sanitizer at 200ppm was prepared at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Meat was thawing at room temperature at the time of inspection. Internal temperature of the meat was -2C and surface was at 10C.
Corrective Action(s): Potentially hazardous foods must be thawed in a refrigerator at 4C or less or under cold running water to prevent the growth of pathogens and or the formation of toxins. Meat was discarded at the time of inspection.

Observation: Facility has a large number of flies throughout the facility.
Corrective Action(s): Facility must be maintained in a pest free condition. Keep the front door closed to prevent entry of pests.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Storage area was found to have mouldy food debris between the freezer units.
Corrective Action(s): Facility must be cleaned on a regular basis and kept in a clean and sanitary condition. Operator cleaned the stored area at the time of inspection.

Observation: Cardboard was lining the top of the kimchi cooler.
Corrective Action(s): All surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. Remove cardboard and either leave the cooler as is or cover the surface with materials which are smooth non-absorbent, and easily cleanable.

-Chest freezers ranged from -18C to -22C.
-Potentially hazardous foods cooled using an ice wand at the time of inspection.
-Foods cooked to greater than 74C on the stove.
-3-compartment sink bleach sanitizer at 100ppm.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
Washroom clean and sanitary.
