Observation:
The low temperature dishwasher had 0ppm [Cl2]. Tried to prime the pump, but nothing was occurring. The dishwes are not being sanitizer, and pathogens can survive.
Corrective Action(s):
Call a repair person to fix the dishwasher. Dishes can be washed in the dishwasher, but then must be manually santiized in the 3-comp sink.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C or colder; freezer was -18C; thermometers present; and temps recorded daily.
- Hand sink stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Quats sanitizer in spray bottles had 200ppm strength. Test strips present. Test at the beginning and middle of the day.
- General sanitation level is great. No signs of pests.
- All foods stored in food grade containers; covered; labeled; date coded; foods stored in groups; and foods stored 6" off the floor.
- No expired foods in use or for sale. FIFO rules being followed.
- FS certified staff present.
- COVID-19 measures in place: masks worn; hand sanitizer available; signs posted; physical distancing markers on floor; and barriers at POS.
- A follow-up inspection to be completed once the dishwasher is fixed. Contact our office (604-949-7722) to schedule this. The dishwasher shall have a [Cl2] of 50-100ppm. Test strips should be used in the morning and middle of the day.
