Observation: Mouse droppings observed around the premises in the following areas: Walk in cooler, under fruit/vegetable stands, along the edges of facility.
Pest control company last inspected in April 2023. Walk in cooler was deep cleaned 2 days ago, therefore, there is new/ongoing activites. Pests can transmit disease and must be controlled
Corrective action: Contact pest control comapny to conduct a new inspection. Email the report to district EHO. Store all fruits/vegetables >6 inch above ground (eg. second shelves). Deep clean entire premises and sanitize with 1000ppm Chlorine solution (1:50 ratio of bleach to water).
Monitor for activity.

Observation: Curtain leading to walk in cooler is broken
--> no door on cooler. Large gap allows for easy access of pests. Front door open during operation which further allows entry.
Corrective action: replace walk in cooler curtain (*order made). Ensure a tight seal that prevents enty of pests into cooler.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Garbage bags (black) used to cover produce at the end of the day. Garbage bags contain chemicals that can contaminate food and be ingested.
Corrective action: Stop the use of black garbage bags in covering product. Use clear plastic or food grade bags. Alternatively use lids.
