Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated Sept. 13, 2021, the manager was on-site, and the manager and staff assisted the LO with today's inspection. At this inspection, no contraventions were identified.

As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

Business cards were provided to the facility.

The following education/recommendations/discussions were provided:
- Continue cleaning/sanitizing the facility, particularly high-touched surfaces, toys and equipment
- Continue hand-washing procedures
- Continue following COVID-19 Policy
- Frequently checking the BCCDC website for changes, and updating COVID-19 policies if required
- Continue indoor ventilation
- RI Procedures
- Children's water bottles requiring more spaces from each other, in order for them to not be touching when stored and not in use
- Procedures for staff/children in the event they develop COVID-19 symptoms while in the facility
