Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted. All newly licensed facilities in Fraser Health receive one routine and one follow up-inspection to ensure they are maintaining compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated April 24, 2024 there were twenty eight children, four staff and the manager present. Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility. There were no contraventions identified during this inspection.
The following was discussed with the Manager :
CCLR Schedule E- maximum group size of 24 children for Group Child Care (School Age) when a kindergartener or child in grade 1 is present.
Staff access to online incident reporting portal
Documenting start date of children's enrolment

The inspection report was written on-site and details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the follow up to routine inspection report and risk assessment is emailed to the manager.
