HAZARD RATING FOR YOUR FACILITY: Low (≤15) Total Score = 14
Critical Hazards: Total Number: 2
302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation: No suitable ware washing facilities are available on site. Two mop sinks are inadequate (see violation code 307 for details) for ware washing. Drainage line from walk in cooler was also draining into one of the mop sinks.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure a two compartment sink with drain board is available on site for ware washing. Two compartment sink must be a smooth and washable finish. Each compartment must be large enough to submerged the largest piece of equipment that requires washing in the premises. Hot and cold running water must be available.
Violation Score: 5

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation: Operator will require a hand wash station in the food handling/preparation area. Sink located by coffee urns and slushies only had a cold water line. During previous routine inspection operator explained that coffee/slushy/soft ice-cream mixtures are prepared in the area of display. During follow up inspection, operator explained that the coffee/slushy/soft ice-cream mixtures can be prepared in the back area. No hand wash station set up/located in the back area that is separate from the washroom hand sink.
Corrective Action(s): A hand wash station (separate from the washroom) is required in the food handling/preparation areas. Operator to submit in writing where the proposed food handling/preparation area is located and ensure there is an adequate fully equipped hand wash station separate from the washroom available.
Violation Score: 5

Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 2
307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
Observation: Two plastic mop sinks located in the back area were broken and extremely scratched. These sinks are identified to be ware washing sinks on the approved floor plans.
Corrective Action(s): Replace two mop sinks with a clean two compartment sink that is equipped with a drain board as per the approved floor plans. Each compartment of the sink must be large enough to fully submerged the largest piece of equipment that requires washing (ie. slushy machine).
Violation Score: 3

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: File review was conducted. Original floor plans identify a two compartment sink with drainboard on site where the two mop sinks are located.
Corrective Action(s): Operator to set up premises as per the original approved floor plans.
Violation Score: 1

Follow Up to "Critical" Violations Noted on Previous Inspections (if applicable): No corrections entered
