Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR), and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing reviewed 5 children's files and noted 2 did not contain date of enrolment. The staff recorded the information while licensing was on site. Corrective Action(s): Ensure a record is kept for each child showing date of enrolment. Date to be Corrected: 02-Mar-2022

At this inspection, the above contravention was identified. The following was discussed: - COVID-19 prevention strategies - Outdoor play area - Emergency management - Product storage indoors The inspection report was written off-site – all details were reviewed prior to writing the report.
