Contraventions

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: During a walk through of the inside of the child care, it was noted that there are two cabinets located in the 'kitchen' area that have an abundance of items stored on top of them, and one of the cabinets is not secured to the wall, and could be easily moved.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all shelving over 3 feet in height is secured or removed. If the cabinets are to remain please ensure the items located on top are secured or removed in order to prevent injury in the event of a earthquake
Date to be Corrected: October 2, 2019

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: During an audit of the attendance records, it was noted that there are blank spaces under registered children's names. Licensing is unable to determine whether or not the children were present on those days.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all children's attendance is marked, including absences, arrival and departure times as stated in the Legislation
Date to be Corrected: September 26, 2019
