-Facility is currently undergoing cosmetic renovations. New walk-in cooler has been installed, handwash stations has been moved slightly (still easily accessible), floor is being replaced with a smooth, non-absorbent, easily cleanable material, and new work surfaces have been added. No health concerns with renovations.
-Walk-in cooler was at 3C.
-Pizza prep cooler was at 4C (top and bottom).
-Front prep cooler was at 4C.
-Hot holding of pizza was at 50C. Staff stated the pizza was put in the pizza oven approximately 1 hour ago. Hot foods which are not maintained at or above 60C must be time tracked. After 2 hours, the pizza must either be discarded or sold. Staff member out paper in the hot holding unit indicating the time the pizza was put into the hot holding unit.
-Cleaning and sanitizing carried out in the 2-compartment sink. Sink plug available and bleach present. Bleach is made at the end of the night for cleaning and sanitizing.
-Bleach sanitizer pail was tested at 200ppm and properly labelled.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels. Staff member observed practicing good hand hygiene after using a telephone.
-Meat slicer was found to be clean and sanitary.
-General food storage practices good at the time of inspection. Foods stored off the floor and covered.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and well maintained.
-Staff FoodSafe Level 1 valid until September 27, 2021.
