Routine inspection: Personal services offered by aesthetician: chemical peels, microneedling, and laser hair removal (IPL and Er:Nd:YAG). Naturopathic services are restricted and massage services by registered massage therapist are not covered in this inspection. Chemical peels: All lotions, chemicals, serums, etc dispensed from pump style bottles or into bowls. Brush is disinfected in PREempt CS20 solution (expiry Jan 7, 2020). Soaking tray available for use. Microneedling: All needles with cartridges received sterilized and packaged. Single use and discarded into sharps container. Microneedling pen is covered with a plastic covering when in use. Laser hair removal: Laser warning sign available for use. Reminder to place warning sign on door when laser hair removal services are in session. No mirrors in treatment room. Laser machines are key operated with emergency on/off buttons. IPL laser machine hand piece that comes into contact with intact skin is disinfected with Caviwipes. PReempt CS20 solution used to disinfect client laser goggles. Soaking tray available for use. Er:Nd:YAG client goggles are OD7+. Cotton gauze used to line eye is single use. Hand sink in treatment room provided with liquid soap and single use paper towels.
