Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR), and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Fridge temperature not maintained between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius. Corrective Action(s): Ensure fridge temperature is maintained between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius. Date to be Corrected: 07-Jul-2022

Comments

At this inspection, the above contravention was identified. The following was discussed: - Health and hygiene - System to ensure emergency kit items are up to date - Outdoor water basin - Immunization records The inspection report was written off-site, all details were reviewed prior to writing the report.
