Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] (
The two handwashing sinks in the cutting room are not operational as the no hot and cold running water exits the faucets. The automatic sensor to turn the water on is not operating as the battery packs are rusty. Staff are using the staff washroom sink or the 2-comp. sink (in the cutting room) to wash hands. This is NOT acceptable as staff will touch dirty bathroom door handles or plastic curtains to enter the cutting room after washing hands.)
Comments

A follow-up inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- The two hand sinks have running water coming out of the faucets. Confirm that running hot water is exiting and/or being mixed with running cold water so staff have warm-hot water to wash their hands properly. If no hot water supply is hooked up, please do so and recommend to install a mixing valve so warm water exits the faucet.
- All other violations are in the process of being corrected.
