Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing [CCFL] received a complaint on March 9, 2022, alleging concerns regarding Care and Supervision.

The allegations included the following details:
- A child was not supervised by an adult
- Playground gate was unsecured and accessible to children

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was received through interviews and a review of relevant records.

Licensing determined the following contraventions:

Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR):
- Section 16(3)(a) Play area, materials and equipment
- Section 39 (1) Continuous supervision required

Observation: Licensing observed a large open gap between the gate and the fence, which was accessible to the children.

14060 - CCLR s.39(1)A licensee must ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult.
Observation: Staff did not provide continuous supervision to a child
