Introduction

Licensing was on site to conduct a scheduled follow up inspection to the routine inspection dated 25th July 2017 to ensure compliance with the Child Care Licensing Regulations and Community Care and Assisted Living Act.

Licensee had responded to coded items by email and the following were appropriately addressed:

11200 - Children no longer have access to any outdoor space through the kitchen. This is strictly inaccessible to children.
Children do not have access to any items in the art room cupboards.
11280 - Licensee addressed this contravention by installing sunshades in the playground areas to protect the children from direct sunlight.
15030 - Individual towels and now spaced further apart to prevent cross contamination.
19090 - Attendance records are stored digitally through an access control system and staff accessing a database to record children's movements from one room to another where necessary. This is available for review at any time.
19160 - Licensee responded to ensure that all digital images were present in the digital database
19220/19250 - Licensee responded to revising care plans to meet requirements

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #SWAR-APLRKQ have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

On site today were the Licensee's to discuss some future plans for the facility. Licensing will be kept updated as to progression.
No other concerns noted at today's inspection.
The facility is very colourful and welcoming and children's art work is displayed on the walls.
Licensing observed children arriving at the facility and observed the staff meeting individual children's needs during difficult transitions.
