Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted on December 1, 2020 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas were inspected for compliance. A Covid-19 Risk screening assessment was completed with the facility prior to this inspection.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated December 1, 2020 there were 17 children and 3 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool & A Covid-19 Audit Tool for Childcare Settings was completed and copies were provided. Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility. The following discussions were had with the Licensee: · Staffing · Service Registrations & Emergency contacts · Covid-19 prevention Strategies · Physical Facility- A discussion was had with the manager about ensuring adequate floor space and not using it for storage. · Health & Hygiene The information contained in the report was discussed with the Manager and Licensing stated that the report will be emailed to the facility.
