Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #TBIU-AHPVDD have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19320 - CCLR s.59(a) - In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.
Observation: Fire Drill records were reviewed and found to be complete until June, 2019. Licensee stated that Fire Drills for June-October were complete and recorded and that the records may be somewhere else. Policies and Procedures were reviewed and found to be complete with the exception of the Screen Time policy that was previously in place.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure these records are complete and kept together for review at inspections.

Comments

At the inspection dated November 6, 2019 there were 7 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified.
Action required by the Licensee: Address contracention and provide a corrective action plan to Licensing.
Action required by the Licensing Officer: Review corrective action plan.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was provided.
