Introduction

This inspection was conducted in the presence of the manager. The purpose of this report was to ensure that the contravention items listed from the routine inspection report have been addressed appropriately.

Contraventions

Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR # have been corrected except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations

STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person. Observation: The manager confirmed that they have renewed a staff's CRC on Nov 22, 2016 and is waiting for the result. The manager stated that this staff have been working at the facility since the CRC was expired and no concern has been reported. The manager agreed that this staff will not be left alone with children and will be monitored pending the outcome of the CRC. Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that all staff have their valid CRC prior to hiring. Please notify licensing once her CRC has arrived. Date to be Corrected: Nov 30 , 2016
