Comments

At the inspection dated Janaury 22, 2024 there were seven children, manager and one staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. The Manager will take action to bring the facility into compliance and provide a written response to the Licensing Officer by January 26 stating how the identified contraventions will be addressed to ensure year-round compliance. The Licensing Officer will review the response. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

The following were discussed with the Manager:
- The outdoor play area is unusable due to pooling water caused by snow. The manager has a plan to take children to a nearby play area to ensure that they get 60 minutes of outdoor play per day, and she has informed families about it.
- Valid CRC are available, reviewed expiry dates
- Placement of sleep mats to prevent items on children's play shelves from falling over.
The inspection report was written on-site and details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the follow up to routine inspection report and risk assessment is provided to the manager at this inspection.
