Comments

A joint, routine inspection was conducted with CFIA staff, the following observations were made:
- CFIA explained the new legislation and how it affects the facility. Licenses may need to be obtained for certain importing/exporting of foods.
- Trace-back processes and labelling legislation discussed.
- Cooler was 2C; freezer was -22C; thermometer present; and temperatures recorded daily.
- General sanitation is adequate, but improvement needed in the mentioned areas due to rat activity.
- All foods stored 6" off the floor on pallets or wire racks.

A follow-up inspection will be conducted in September 2018 to ensure all violations have been corrected.
