Violation Score: 5

Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 2
209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Bleach water sanitizer in one spray bottle labeled "sanitizer" was measured at greater than 200 ppm chlorine.
2. Open bag of rice observed in dry storage area (bag was left open in a manner in which debris/contaminants could fall in).
3. Two open cans of food product observed in coolers. It was stated cans were recently opened.
Corrective Action(s): All above-noted items were corrected at the time of inspection. Ensure sanitizer is maintained at a concentration required for effective and safe sanitizing of food contact surfaces (for example, 100 ppm chlorine). Ensure food is kept properly covered or sealed at all times to protect from potential contamination. Do not store foods in open cans as the interior lining may become compromised after cans are opened, potentially exposing the food to contamination.
Violation Score: 9

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: One cooler (black under counter cooler) was measured at 7 degrees C. A box was observed to be partially obstructing the air circulation and was removed by the operator during the inspection. The temperature decreased to 6 degrees C at the lowest after an extended period of time. Internal food temperature at 6 degrees C. Note: Minimal potentially hazardous food product. Cooler contains pickled items, whole vegetables.
Corrective Action(s): Items such as sprouts were transferred to another cooler at 4 degrees C or less, as a precaution. Monitor temperture and have cooler adjusted or serviced as needed to ensure it is capable of maintaining food at 4 degrees C or less. Date to be corrected by: Today.
Violation Score: 3
