HAZARD RATING FOR YOUR FACILITY: Low (≤15) Total Score = 12
Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One spray bottle labeled as sanitizer contained a solution that measured approximately 50 ppm quats.
Corrective Action(s): Spray bottle contents discarded. Spray bottle refilled at dispenser and sanitizing solution was re-measured at 200 to 400 ppm quats. Ensure sanitizer is maintained at concentration(s) required for safe and effective sanitizing of food contact surfaces (e.g. 200 ppm quats, or as per manufacturer's specifications).
Violation Score: 5

Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 3
304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): What appeared to be mouse droppings was observed on the floor along the wall in one area (near sealed beverage storage).
Corrective Action(s): Area was cleaned and sanitized during inspection. No other signs of pest activity (for example, torn/chewed packaging) were observed at the time of inspection. Food is protected from potential contamination. Operator has sealed gap he identified recently to exclude potential pest entry.

HealthLinkBC file on pest control to be provided to operator. Operator to retain services of pest control technician if pest concerns persist or additional signs of pest activity observed.
Violation Score: 3

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Pizza boxes containing pizza (to be discarded), as well as a large quantity of cardboard, were observed on the floor near the back door. In addition, some items observed to be stored directly on the floor (e.g. boxes).
Corrective Action(s): Corrected during inspection. The following was discussed with the operator during the inspection:
1. Remove potential food sources (for example, pizza to be discarded) as this is a pest attractant.
2. Limit potential pest harbourage areas (for example, stacked cardboard and clutter)
3. Ensure all items are kept off the floor to more effectively monitor for pest activity, and to limit potential harbourage or hiding areas.
4. Ensure equipment and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly to limit food and other debris, which may potentially attract pest activity.
Doors (front, back) were observed to be closed. Continue to ensure doors remain fully closed when not in use to limit pest entry. .
Note: Repeat violation(s) may lead to progressive enforcement action.
Violation Score: 3

501 - Operator does not have FOODSAFE Level 1 or Equivalent [s. 10(1)]
Observation: Operator does not hold valid FOODSAFE Level 1 (or equivalent).
Corrective Action(s): Operator must successfully complete FOODSAFE Level 1 (or equivalent). Note: In the operator's absence, at least one staff member on duty must have FOODSAFE Level 1 (or equivalent).
Provide a copy of certificate to Environmental Health Officer (EHO) upon completion. Date to be corrected by: February 3, 2023.
Violation Score: 1

Follow Up to "Critical" Violations Noted on Previous Inspections (if applicable): No corrections entered
