Introduction

An unscheduled/scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing of Practice (DLSP). All categories of care were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

At the inspection dated November 15, 2023 there were 61 children and 14 staff and the manager present. At this inspection there were no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

The following conversations was had:
- Lead in the Water – flushing the pipes to remove any impurities before using the drinking water
- Minor incident log book was well utilized and was discussed further. Licensing noticed blank pages in the minor log book and provided education regarding the usage of the book.
- Records of children not attending the facility to be kept for two years according to the legislation.
