Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Wallet, key chain and other personal items were noted on top of the pizza prep cooler cutting board. Items were removed at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Both of hand washing stations were missing paper towels in the paper town dispensing units. Papertowels were replenished at the time of inspection.

Observation: The operator purchased the premise in late February. City of Surrey was contacted already for ownership change. Collected health approval application, menu, and hand drawn floor plan from the operator.
Corrective Action(s): Submit food safety plan, sanitation plan, COVID 19 safety plan and floor plan by March 30, 2021.

Observation: Two open bags of flours in its original packaging were noted at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Once food is opened from their original packaging, transferred the food to a food grade container with tight fitting lids. Correct this by: March 30, 2021.

Observation: The stainless steel table under the kitchen hood was brand new and still had a protective film on it.
Corrective Action(s): Remove the protective film. Correct this by: March 30, 2021

Observation: The operator indicated a lots of items in the back storage area are not needed for day to day operation.

Comments

New owner took over this restaurant at the end of February, 2021. An application is already submitted to City of Surrey for business license. No changes in name and menu. The operator has FoodSafe Level 1, and it is valid.
Received health approval application at the time of inspection. Remaining documents for health approval (e.g., Food safety plan, sanitation plan, floor plan) are to be ready by March 30, 2021.

Sanitation:
QUAT sanitizer was noted at 200 ppm.
3 compartment sink is used for manual dishwashing. Bleach is used for sanitizing step. Drain plugs are available. Manual dishwashing method is reviewed with the operator - satisfactory.
Hand washing stations are equipped with hot and cold running water and liquid soap. Paper towel was replenished at the time of inspection.
Temperature:
All the coolers were at or below 4C
Rice in the rice cooker was measured at >80C
stand-alone freezer was at -20C
Pest:
Evidences of recent pest activity were not observed at the time of inspection
