Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Small plastic bowl found inside dry storage bin and was used as a scoop. Operator discarded the bowl at the time of inspection.
2. Mechanical trap for rodents was observed on bottom shelving unit which was used for storing clean dishes. This could result in accidental exposure of clean dishes to rodents urine/feces that could eventually cause potential contamination of food stored in these dishes. Operator placed the trap back on the floor.
Corrective Action(s): Practice safe food handling and storage practices to prevent the risk of food contamination.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted.

- Temperature of walk in cooler, display cooler and prep coolers (x2) recorded at or below 4C.
- Stand up freezer at -13C.
- Upstairs: Walk in cooler & undercounter cooler below 4C.
- Upstairs: 2x new freezers & 1x chest freezer below -18C.
- Hot holding unit for pizza slices at 68C.
- All handwash sink had adequate supply of hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels.
- 200ppm bleach solution present in spray bottle and sanitizer pails both upstairs & downstairs.
- 3 compartment dishwashing sink present on both floors. Operator stated that the 3 comp sink located upstairs is primarily used for warewashing. 100ppm chlorine residual recorded in 3rd sink. Drain plugs available for both sinks.
- Vegetable slicer and other equipment were maintained in good sanitary condition.
- Certified pest control company conducts routine checks.
- Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate available (Exp March 14, 2023).

General sanitation and maintenance of the facility was satisfactory.
