Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP). All eight care categories were assessed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection:
At the inspection dated December-15-21, there were 3 children in care with the Manager.
A COVID-19 Risk Screening was conducted before the inspection.
At the inspection, no contraventions were identified.
No further action is required by Licensing or by the Licensee.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed.
This report was written off site and is unsigned due to COVID-19 safety practices. The summary items identified in the report were reviewed with the Manager before Licensing's departure.
A copy of the report and the corresponding Risk Assessment was emailed to the Manager.
The following items were discussed:
-The facility has a log book available but had not been used since 2020. Licensing provided education on the importance of maintaining facility logbooks.
-The children had been signed in for the rest of the week. Licensing provided education on the intent of keeping accurate records.
-Ensuring children's date of enrollment contains a day, month and year.
