Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Tomato sauce was stored in an opened can.
2) Bag of onions was on the floor.
3) Scoop was stored inside quinoa container with the handle covered in quinoa.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Once canned foods are opened, ensure the contents are transferred to a food grade container with proper protection to prevent potential contamination. Tomato sauce was discarded at the time of inspection.
2) Ensure foods are stored off the ground and protected from potential contamination. Onions were relocated at the time of inspection.
3) Ensure scoops are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent potential contamination of foods. Scoop was relocated at the time of inspection.

Comments

-Prep cooler was at 4C (top and bottom).
-Front upright cooler was at 4C (only used for beverages).
-Back kitchen upright cooler was at 4C.
-Back under counter cooler was not functioning at the time of inspection - no foods stored in the cooler unit.
-Front chest freezer was at -18C.
-Back upright freezer was at -20C.
-Hot holding was greater than 60C.
-Cleaning and sanitizing carried out in the 2-compartment sink. Bleach sanitizer was at 200ppm.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Bleach sanitizer spray bottle labelled and tested at 100ppm.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and sanitary. Handwash station supplied with liquid hand soap and single use paper towels.
-FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalence valid until June 19, 2028.
-Health permit hand delivered. Ensure permit is posted in a visible location. Review the attached letter and contact the Health Department if there are any changes to the facility.
