# OBSERVED IN CARE

Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #KSEY-B57NKP have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated Oct 2, 2019 there were 15 children and 2 staff present.
During inspection Licensing observed:
- upon arrival children were having a circle time where staff discussed what will happen through the morning
- children were then engaged in free play which consisted of: free art, creating with play dough, sand play, dramatic play, working with puzzles, sorting activity, using a train table as well as a light table.
- children then had a book time before sitting for snack

- staff interacted with children while they were engaged in activities, used simple sentences with signs to assist children with problem solving as well as through times of transition.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
