Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed reefer truck at loading dock at time of inspection and its refrigeration unit not on -temperatures inside truck cargo area were 8-10 deg C for perishable foods there -operator indicates that approximate loading time is 20 minutes then 10 minute transit time to Healthy Soy Foods at Crystal Mall and Kings Market

Observed the walk-in cooler doors wide-open a number of times during the inspection
Corrective Action(s): Leave the reefer truck on to maintain the foods cold at ALL times < 4 deg C

Keep the Walk-in cooler doors unless actively shipping goods
Operator to install cooling flaps at both Walk-in cooler doors to help maintain cold temperatures

NOTE: provided Manual washing sign to replace old one
-Large equipment Manually Washed at vats using Caustic soda, high temperature rinse >82 deg C then air dry

General sanitation okay -no signs of pests
Lower Mainland Pest Control comes in monthly -last report reviewed -no activity noted

NOTE: observed worker on 2nd floor platform (Sheet Tofu processing area) dumping hot water onto the concrete below for drainage.
At minimum the area underneath should be cordoned off to prevent anyone underneath doused with hot water
