Corrective Action(s): Use an intermediate level disinfectant to disinfectant pedicure bowels (general formula for bleach solution: 20 ml bleach with 980 ml water to make an intermediate level disinfection solution or 4 tsp bleach with 4 cups water). Soak/run tub with solution for 10 minutes. Violation Score: 9

Routine Inspection Manicure/pedicure: Hand sink in service area provided with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels. Pedicure tubs lined with disposable liners. Liners disposed after each use and tub is cleaned with Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom grime fighter. See above violation. All files, buffers, and sanding blocks single use. Semi-critical items such as clippers, nippers, cuticle pushers and callus removers disinfected in PREempt CS20 solution (expiry of April 2023). Soaking trays available for use. In-use CS20 solutions labelled with a 14-day re-use period. Implements kept organized and in a clean condition. Esthetic and laser services provided in the separate treatment room were not assessed at the time of inspection as the operator for those services was not on-site.
