Routine health inspection conducted:
- Coolers at 4 degrees C or less (retail area, back area--upright coolers).*
- Freezers at -18 degrees C or less (exception: retail area reach-in freezer (approx. -13 degrees C; potentially in defrost cycle).
- Thermometers available for coolers.
- Temperatures logs maintained and up-to-date.
- First-in-first-out stock rotation procedures appear to be in use.
- A selection of canned foods was audited; no dents/bulging observed.
- A selection of infant formula and nutritional supplements was audited; items were observed to be within printed expiry dates
- Premises is serviced by a pest control technician. Most recent pest control report noted no new interior pest activity. Few small rodent droppings observed in hard-to-reach area (floor, back stock room). Ensure area is cleaned and disinfected.
*Walk-in dairy cooler at 5 degrees C; temperature was dropping at time of inspection (7 degrees C to 5 degrees C); appears to be coming out of defrost cycle. Continue to monitor.
