Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated June 11, 2021 licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility.

The following were discussed with the manager:

· Fire drill records
· Staff records
· Storage of used toys, plastic bags and food
· Sanitization of non porous surfaces
· Ensuring toys are in good repair
· Manager mentioned that spring maintenance is scheduled for the outdoor area.

Briefly discussed the recent changes to the CCLR with the facility manager. These changes include two new licensing categories in the regulations: school-age care on school grounds and recreational care.

The inspection report was written off-site – details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the routine inspection report and risk assessment sent to manager via email on June 11, 2021.
Total time includes writing report in office.
