Observation: REPEAT VIOLATION - rodent droppings still being observed in dry food section shelves.
- 1 dead mouse found in the tin cat trap by the aisle 7. Ensure pest control company ORKIN replaces the trap.
- Lots of rodent droppings found in the pet food section (under the dog food shelves & pallets).
Corrective Action(s): Ensure these areas are re-organized and thorough cleaning & sanitizing is done every day. Do not overstock items on the shelves as it will be more difficult to monitor & clean rodent droppings.

Observation: Debris build-up behind the compost bins next to produce culling room.
Garbages, food residues & debris build-up on floor under shelves in pet food section and dry food section aisle #7-10.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure these areas are cleaned up. Schedule to clean on regular basis.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Damaged/broken wooden pallet observed in walk-in freezer.
Corrective Action(s): Remove damaged pallet. Manager requested employee to remove the pallet at the time of inspection.

Comments

Produce walk-in cooler: at 4C or below.
Meat walk-in cooler: at 4C or below.
Dairy walk-in cooler: at 4C or below.
Walk-in freezer: at -18C or below.

Produce culling room:
- Handsink fully equipped.
- QUAT sanitizer measured at 200pm (both spray bottle and dispenser).

Customer area:
Temperatures are in compliance for all cooler and freezer units.
General organization in produce area looks good.

Pest issue:
General improvement is observed in the dry food isles. However more cleaning has to be done for EVERY shelves as there are some missed spots for cleaning.
Start monitoring and cleaning pet food area as there are rodent droppings observed in the area.
Manager reported that all Uncle Ben products on the lower shelves were discarded during the deep cleaning of the affected aisles (#7-10).
EHO communicated with the pest control technician from ORKIN at the time of inspection and the following updates were reported:
- Additional bait stations were installed outside of the premises.
- Additional tin cat traps were installed in areas with pest activity observed: Aisle #7 to #10.
- ORKIN is visiting the facility every 48 hours for enhanced pest control measures.
- Large sized tin cat trap in the receiving area next to the compactor is damaged - technician will replace the trap.
- Most recent report to be emailed to EHO - email address was provided.

Follow up inspection to be conducted next week to confirm all rodent droppings are removed and shelves & floors are in sanitary condition.
