Observation: Display cooler is very full of various food items. Many items are stacked upon each other. Some items are open and not protected from contamination. It is difficult to see and inspect the various stacked items to check for food safety and quality.
Donuts on display are not protected from contamination. Stored open at face level at the counters within client reach.
Corrective Action(s): Please do a thorough inventory of food items and ensure all food is covered, protected from contamination, not past best before dates and is safe to eat.
Donuts can be covered, stored in the pie area that has a glass or secure a plexi glass barrier or other barrier in this area between customer and food items on display. Or install sneeze guard.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Multiple items such as flour are on the floor, in open, uncovered or unsealed containers. There are spills in the kitchen.
Flour is scattered in corners and along wall of dry storage area.
Dry storage area - various items are stack.
Floors in kitchen are greasy.
Possible rodent droppings in back chemical storage area but cannot confirm.
Kitchen itself is dark and not well lit.
Kitchen cook and server are busy managing with cooking, serving and cleaning at the same time.
Fly trap is directly above dry, clean dish storage area.
Corrective Action(s): Please clean all areas.
Do a thorough inventoary of items.
Use a good degreaser on the floors on a regular basis.
Clean droppings to see if they reoccur.
Replace with brighter bulbs in kitchen to see areas that need to be cleaned.
Please move to area at the back that is not over clean and sanitary items.

Observation: There is a leak from either the fridge or sink at the entrance of the kitchen. Pooling water.
Corrective Action(s): Operator said contractor has come to look at this yesterday.
Please ensure a work order is placed and this is fixed. Mop up water and observe if there is more, where it is coming from and if there is a reoccurence.
