Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Used knife was stored in an insert with other knives.
Corrective Action(s): Do not store clean and dirty knives together to prevent potential cross contamination. Knives were washed at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A mixture of soap, bleach and water were mixed together to wipe surfaces.
Corrective Action(s): Discontinue the practice of mixing soap and water. Adding soap and bleach together may deactivate bleach and soap is not considered food grade. Mixture of soap and bleach and water were discarded at the time of inspection.

Observation: 1) Scoops were stored inside ingredient containers with the handle in contact with the food.
2) Food items were stored on the floor.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Ensure scoops are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent potential contamination of foods. Scoops were removed at the time of inspection.
2) Ensure foods are stored off the ground and protected from potential contamination. This can also assist in cleaning.

Comments

-Inspection conducted with Student Environmental Health Officer.
-Walk-in cooler was at 4C.
-Prep cooler was at 1C (top) and 2C (bottom).
-Upright cooler was at 4C.
-Back upright freezer was at -12C.
-Chest freezer was at -15C.
-Cooked foods cooled in shallow containers. Foods ranged between 4C to 6C.
-Chemical dishwasher had a final rinse of 100ppm chlorine on the dish surface (minimum of 50ppm required for proper sanitizing).
-Handwash stations accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Kitchen bleach sanitizer pail labelled and tested at 200ppm.
-Ice machine was found to be clean and sanitary.
-Raw meats stored below ready-to-eat foods.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-Facility serviced by a professional pest control operator on a monthly basis.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and sanitary. Handwash station supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-FOODSAFE Level 1 valid until March 04, 2025.
