Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Noted container of bok choi and container of bean sprouts on ice stored under shelving along the walk way into the kitchen. Operator said these items are for immediate use. This is a high traffic area with staff coming and going in and out of the kitchen. There is potential for open foods to get contaminated.
Corrective Action(s): Keep all foods for immediate use on food preparation counters. Do not place open foods on the floor.

Observation: Noted a block used to prop the back door open at time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure back door is kept closed all time of prevent the entry of pests.

Comments

All hand wash stations fully equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
All coolers 4⁰C or less (walk in, domestic, upright 1 door..etc)
Freezer -19C
Hot holding of soup broth and rice both higher than 60C
Noted proper thawing of meat under cold running water in food preparation sink.
Bean sprouts stored on ice at room temperature.
Overall general sanitation satisfactory.
No obvious sign of pest infestation noted at time of inspection. See violation code 305 re: back door.
Premises makes their own ice in trays and stores them in bags in the freezer.
Ice for immediate use is stored in a container at room temperature in the drink making area. Scoop for ice stored outside of the ice in a separate container.
Chlorine sanitizer in container 100ppm available in both the back food preparation area and front drink pouring area. Remind staff to keep all wiping cloths stored in sanitizer solution when not in use.
Low temperature dish washer had 50ppm chlorine. Test strips available.
Light covers in place and door to staff washroom was self closing.
